LASEPA Seals Four Ijora and Apapa Firms Over Repeated Environmental Violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed four businesses in Ijora and Apapa for repeatedly violating environmental regulations. The agency said the firms ignored several warnings, abatement notices and directives to correct the identified issues before enforcement began. The affected facilities are Helmar Building Materials on Ijora Causeway, Laprivad Nigeria Ltd. behind Funky Yetty on Ijora Causeway, Innocast Nigeria Ltd. on Saka Alao Street, Apapa, and Body Language Shipping and Cargo on Liverpool Road, Apapa. LASEPA said the action forms part of its effort to enforce environmental standards and protect public health in Lagos.

LASEPA should publish follow-up compliance updates so nearby residents can see whether the corrective directives are being carried out.
