Illbliss Calls Out Tribalism, Highlights Igbos’ Role in Lagos Economy

Nigerian rapper Illbliss says the Igbos have driven much of Lagos’s trade and commerce despite not being indigenes of the state. Speaking on the Outside The Box podcast, he urged Nigerians to be more welcoming of non-indigenes and warned that tribalism and bigotry still plague the country. “The Igbos have given a lot to the Lagos economy,” he remarked. “I wonder how this town would fare if every Igbo man were asked to leave. We must learn to accommodate one another.”
