The office of the National Security Adviser convened a high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja to advance the new reporting structure for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau. Led by NSA Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, participants from aviation, maritime, rail, road transport, emergency management, law enforcement and security agencies discussed ways to align safety investigations with national security objectives. The engagement highlighted the need for stronger inter-agency coordination, emergency preparedness, intelligence sharing and adherence to global best practices. It also reaffirmed a collective commitment to independent, evidence-based investigations and a resilient multimodal transport system.
