Oba Ojoto Elected Ohanaeze Lagos President as Eze Nwokedi Calls for Igbo Unity

By Naomi Onome Eze Dr. Chika Nwokedi has congratulated Chief Leonard Okafor, known as Oba Ojoto, on his election as President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State. He also saluted the other newly elected executives and described the April 6, 2026 poll as a milestone for the apex Igbo socio-cultural body. The royal father praised the electoral committee for a free, fair and peaceful process. He highlighted the leadership of Mr. Calistus Odoemena and commended all who ensured a smooth transition. Eze Nwokedi urged Ndigbo in Lagos to set aside differences and unite behind the new team. He expressed confidence that Oba Ojoto and his officers will restore cohesion and drive the organisation to greater heights. He also called for members’ cooperation and prayers to support the administration’s vision.
