Married Woman Busted for Staging Fake Kidnap, Found with Lover in Delta Hotel

A married woman, Oluchi, faked her abduction in Edo State and demanded N50 million from her family. Her children, including a daughter based in Canada, appealed publicly when the ransom was later reduced to N20 million. Police traced a man’s phone number to a hotel in Delta State and found Oluchi with her lover. Authorities arrested four people linked to the staged case. Oluchi’s daughter expressed shock at the betrayal and vowed to let the law take its course. She also confirmed the family never paid a dime and will seek a refund of any funds raised. The Harmony Ladies Club, which initially provided support, issued a statement condemning Oluchi’s actions and distancing itself from the incident. According to Punch Newspapers, the police continue investigations.
