Kebbi Hisbah Busts Man for Hiding Missing Girl in Birnin Kebbi Hotel

Hisbah officials under Kebbi State’s Ministry of Religious Affairs arrested a man from Abuja for harboring a girl reported missing by her parents. The girl had left her family home in Rafin Atiku Villa without telling them. Director of Sharia Affairs Malam Sirajo Kamba said the pair spent two days in a Birnin Kebbi hotel. Interrogation revealed they were not married, breaching both Islamic and local cultural norms. Kamba urged parents to monitor their children’s movements closely, especially young women, to prevent similar incidents.
