I Just Paid ₦10,000 for a Single Soursop – See Why!

I Just Paid ₦10,000 for a Single Soursop – See Why! — 1 of 4
1 / 4

I was excited when I saw the soursop, until I heard the price – ₦10,000 for one fruit! I love soursop, but not enough to pay that. It looked huge next to a plastic bottle, but still – ₦10k for a fruit? That’s crazy. This is why I always tell people to plant their own fruit trees. You don’t want someone charging ₦5,000 for one mango in the future. The fruit was juicy, though, and I really enjoyed it. I even kept some seeds because in a few years, you might be buying soursop from me instead!

What drove that seller to price a single soursop at ₦10,000? Was it rare size, off-season, or special variety?

Did seller explain what justifies that huge asking price for one soursop?

I suppose the off-season scarcity had a hand, though paying ₦10,000 feels hard to justify.

Even a huge soursop next to a plastic bottle doesn't seem worth ₦10,000 when most fruits cost a fraction of that price.

Planting your own tree sounds great, but not everyone has space or time to wait years for that soursop harvest.

Consider pooling orders with friends to split costs, or watch for off-season discounts so you don't pay a premium for a single soursop.
