Adebayor: I Want Arsenal to Win but Man City Will Lift the Premier League

Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor admits he still hopes to see his old club claim the title. On talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast, he said Arsenal’s defence has been strong this season and they deserve to fight for the trophy. “But if you ask me today, I believe Manchester City will win it,” Adebayor told Gabby Agbonlahor and Shebahn Aherne. He pointed out that after City dropped points against Everton, Pep Guardiola’s side will come back stronger in their final three fixtures. “For the first time, I really want Arsenal to win after everything they’ve been building towards. But with City’s quality and experience, it won’t be easy for either team,” he added. At present, City sit five points behind league leaders Arsenal after a dramatic 3-3 draw secured by a late Jeremy Doku goal.
