Baba-Ahmed Rejects Unified 2027 Opposition Ticket as ‘Impossible’

Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed says a single opposition candidate for the 2027 presidential election cannot happen. He spoke on Channels Television’s Politics Today after the Ibadan Declaration, where the PDP and ADC agreed to back one contender. Baba-Ahmed noted that only two parties attended the Ibadan meeting and called the idea of a joint opposition ticket “a lie.” He argued that no broader coalition of all opposition groups was involved and dismissed further debate on the plan.
