Barau FC Strengthens Squad with 14 New Signings for 2026/27 NPFL Season

Kano’s Barau FC have bolstered their squad with 14 new players during this transfer window as coach Eugene Agagbe prepares for the 2026/27 NPFL season set to kick off in August. Leading the arrivals are Christian Egbutudike from Albania’s FK Kukesi and Al-Amin Umar returning from Egypt’s Telecom FC. Central defender Elvis Obuko joined from Warri Wolves, while Bayelsa United duo Stephen Wisdom and Energy Kennedy, plus several others from across the league, complete the list of recruits. General Manager Dominic Iorfa said preparations began three weeks ago and the club aims to build on last season’s eighth-place finish, when they amassed 52 points with 13 wins, 13 draws and 12 losses, according to Completesports.com.
