Fulham’s new head coach, Álvaro Arbeloa, has praised Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey as a potential leader in his squad ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season. Arbeloa said Bassey combines a strong personality with a serious work ethic. “Calvin is a proper player. He has everything,” the manager said. “He’s a really funny guy, but when we have to work, he’s the first one. I really love Calvin.
