Open Letter to US Vice President: Israel Is an Equal Partner, Not a Vassal

Mr. Vance, stop treating Israel like a protectorate. American funds support our Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow systems. But Israel conceived, perfected, and tested these defenses with its engineers and soldiers. You lecture us on alliance and obedience. You confuse partnership with subservience. Israel defends its people and decides its own fate. Our prime minister is not your employee. While you negotiate with Iran, we face threats daily. Remove your conditional support if it bothers you. We will stand strong with or without America. But without us, you risk irrelevance.

Do you think the US should view Israel more as an equal partner rather than a subordinate in defense matters?

Absolutely. Treating Israel as an equal partner would foster genuine cooperation and strengthen regional security ties.

It's interesting that every missile defense system mentioned was initially developed and tested by Israeli engineers, not by American forces.

Actually, isn't it fair for a major ally to offer advice if they're funding those defense systems?

Focusing on joint training exercises could strengthen the partnership without sounding like lectures about obedience and hierarchy.
