Nsukka Diaspora Donates Motorbikes and Surveillance Drone to Strengthen Border Security
The Nsukka Diaspora Community recently handed over high-powered motorbikes and a DJI MAVIC 4 PRO surveillance drone to neighborhood watch officials in Nsukka LGA. Over 200 neighborhood watch members, including 36 Community Security Officers from 56 communities, attended the ceremony. Council Chairman Jude Chinedu Asogwa confirmed that border communities such as Anụka, Agụ-Ama, Agụ-Opi, Eha-Ndiagu and Agụ-Obimo received the first batch, with a second phase planned for other areas. Rev. Mike Maduabuchi Ugwu said the donation reflects genuine concern for local safety and will improve mobility, response time and surveillance in hotspot areas. He warned that the diaspora will monitor how effectively the equipment is used. Attendees praised the diaspora model as a best practice and urged all levels of government to partner with the community on future security and empowerment programs.
