Japan Crush Tunisia 4-0 as Carthage Eagles Become First African Side Eliminated from 2026 World Cup

Tunisia’s 2026 World Cup campaign ended in Monterrey after a 4-0 loss to Japan. The Carthage Eagles shipped nine goals in two group matches following a 5-1 defeat to Sweden. Japan dominated from the start. Daichi Kamada opened the scoring in the fourth minute. Ayase Ueda, Junya Ito and Ueda again added goals to seal a convincing win and lift Japan level with the Netherlands atop Group F. New manager Hervé Renard suffered a tough debut as Tunisia bowed out without a point. With two heavy defeats and a minus-eight goal difference, the North Africans are officially eliminated before their final group game.
