Three England Stars Doubtful for Ghana Clash After Injuries

Three England Stars Doubtful for Ghana Clash After Injuries

England face fitness doubts over Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford ahead of their World Cup 2026 group game with Ghana in Boston. Rice was withdrawn in the second half of the 4-2 win over Croatia after reporting lower back and hamstring discomfort. Manager Thomas Tuchel says he took the midfielder off to protect him and is hopeful it is nothing serious. Saka continues to be managed for a long-standing Achilles problem and is unlikely to start, with Noni Madueke expected to fill in on the right wing. Rashford is also under observation for muscle tightness, while captain Harry Kane battled cramp during training. England have already lost full-back Tino Livramento to a calf strain and called up Trevoh Chalobah. Tuchel’s side will monitor all players closely as they seek a second win against Ghana.
