I gave my life to Christ during my youth service last year after persistent encouragement from my landlady, a devoted Deeper Life member. I still remember that global service led by Pastor Williams Kumuyi and how his message touched my heart. Soon after, I left my once-lucrative but illegal business and began teaching at several schools to support myself. Though it’s honest work, the income barely covers my needs and I’m worried about my future. Lately I feel my faith weakening under the weight of these worries. I’m afraid I’m backsliding, and I don’t know if returning to my old trade is the answer. How can I restore my spiritual strength and trust God again?
