Fake Security Gang Arrested After Luxury Car Vandalism in Lagos Estates — 1 of 4
1 / 4

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects behind a series of exotic car vandalism across residential estates in the city. Disguised as security officers, the gang used fake uniforms and a modified Mercedes-Benz jack to intimidate guards and gain entry. The suspects—Obinna Okeke (27), Emmanuel Anyanwu (38), and Joshua Nkemdirim (31)—confessed to removing valuable parts from Toyota Hilux and Highlander models, a Lexus 650, Mercedes-Benz SUVs, and other vehicles. Investigators recovered brain boxes, wiring systems, side mirrors and the altered car jack. Police say the trio is cooperating with detectives to identify additional members of the syndicate. Residents are urged to verify all security personnel with their local Divisional Police Officers and report suspicious individuals without delay.
