Jacqueline Falk, Daughter of ‘Columbo’ Star Peter Falk, Dies by Suicide at 60
Jacqueline Falk, one of Peter Falk’s adopted daughters, was found dead in California this week. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed she died by suicide at age 60. Jacqueline and her sister Catherine were adopted by Peter Falk and his first wife, Alyce Mayo, during their marriage in the 1960s. After their divorce, Falk married actress Shera Danese, who later appeared in several episodes of Columbo. Peter Falk passed away in 2011 after battling Alzheimer’s and dementia. In his memory, Catherine has championed “Peter Falk’s Law” to ensure adult children stay informed about medical updates and visitation rights when parents become incapacitated. The law has since been adopted in multiple US states.
