Governors and Philanthropists Rally Behind Ooni’s Free School Project in Ikorodu
The Ooni of Ife’s free school initiative in Eyinogbe Communities, Adamo, Ikorodu is gaining momentum as construction advances. Led by Hopesalive Initiative, the project aims to offer free primary education to underprivileged children. Several state governors, including those from Kogi, Bauchi, Enugu and Abia, have pledged support alongside community leaders and private philanthropists. Their contributions underline a shared commitment to investing in Nigeria’s youth through quality education. Once complete, the facility will serve Classes One to Six and feature modern amenities such as an ICT centre, library, sick bay and event hall. The school is designed to transform learning opportunities for local children. Organisers are calling on more corporate organisations, stakeholders and well-meaning Nigerians to join the effort and help bring this vision to life.
