Ogun Celebrates Safe Homecoming of 345 Hajj Pilgrims at Gateway Airport
The first batch of 345 Ogun State pilgrims arrived safely at Gateway International Airport, Ilisan-Iperu Remo. They touched down at 8:41 p.m. aboard a Flynas A330 jet after completing the 2026 Hajj in Mecca and Medina. The group included 151 men and 194 women. Senior state officials led by the Secretary to the State Government welcomed the pilgrims and praised the smooth departure and return. They commended the pilgrims for their conduct and role as ambassadors of Ogun. Officials assured continued support for future Hajj operations and urged the returnees to sustain the spiritual lessons gained. Pilgrims thanked the government for welfare arrangements and described the direct flight as both historic and convenient.
