FKA Twigs Seeks Court Ruling to End Name Dispute with The Twigs

FKA Twigs, born Tahliah Debrett Barnett, has asked a court to settle her long-running stage name battle with indie duo The Twigs. She wants a formal declaration that she may continue using and registering “FKA Twigs” without further challenge. The feud began in 2014 when sisters Laura and Linda Good filed a trademark claim but later withdrew it. More than a decade on, they have renewed cease-and-desist threats, prompting Barnett to act. Barnett argues there is no realistic chance of confusion between her brand and The Twigs. She wants the court to confirm that fans and the public cannot mistake the two acts or assume any affiliation.
