People often say a man feels threatened when his wife earns more than he does. But is the income gap really the problem, or is it the change in attitude that can follow? A marriage is a partnership, not a competition. If a man has carried the financial burden for years and later becomes unable to provide, his wife’s support should not come with disrespect or contempt.
