46 Visa-Free and Easy-Access Destinations for Nigerians in 2026
Nigerian passport holders can visit 46 countries in 2026 without securing a traditional visa. These include visa-free entry, visas on arrival and eVisas across Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. West Africa leads the list under the ECOWAS Free Movement Protocol, allowing Nigerians to enter Benin, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal and more for up to 90 days without a visa. Beyond the region, Mauritius, Rwanda and Seychelles also welcome Nigerians with minimal pre-departure requirements. In the Caribbean, Barbados, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and other islands offer visa-free or visa-on-arrival access. Asia and the Middle East open doors via eVisas or visas on arrival in the Maldives, Nepal, Cambodia and Bahrain. Oceania countries such as Fiji, Samoa and Vanuatu have simplified entry for Nigerian travellers. Major economies like the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Schengen states and the United Arab Emirates still require traditional visas. Travel experts say the rise in eVisa and visa-on-arrival programmes reflects a global push to boost tourism, business and cultural exchanges.
