CAF Hails Falconets as Nigeria Secures 12th Straight U-20 Women’s World Cup Spot — 1 of 2
1 / 2

CAF has praised Nigeria’s Falconets after they booked their place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup for the 12th consecutive time. Despite a 2-1 defeat to Malawi in the second leg, Nigeria advanced 3-2 on aggregate. Faith Chimzimu’s brace in the 9th and 56th minutes wiped out the Falconets’ first-leg lead, but Precious Oscar’s 62nd-minute strike proved decisive and sealed qualification. Following the result, CAF celebrated Nigeria’s unbroken record on its official social media channels. The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will take place in Poland from September 5 to 27.

It's great to qualify again, but a 2-1 loss at home suggests they may have weaknesses to address.
