Nedu Reveals He Quit The Honest Bunch Over an Ownership Dispute, Not the Feud
Popular broadcaster Nedu Wazobia says he left The Honest Bunch podcast over a disagreement about who officially owned the show, not because of his row with social media critic VeryDarkMan. He explains that he first pitched the idea while working in radio and agreed verbally to split proceeds 50-50 with the production team. After a controversial episode involving comedian DeeOne and VeryDarkMan, he planned to sit out until the storm passed. But a search at the Corporate Affairs Commission revealed that the podcast had been registered solely in the production outfit’s name. Feeling betrayed by the missing 50-50 agreement on paper, Nedu decided to walk away. His revelation has reignited debate about verbal business deals, content ownership, and how creative partnerships should be structured in Nigeria’s podcast industry.
