Kaduna Police Nab 41 Suspects, Seize 24 Firearms and Rescue Kidnap Victims

Kaduna Police Nab 41 Suspects, Seize 24 Firearms and Rescue Kidnap Victims

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 41 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers between March and April 2026. The command also rescued seven kidnapped victims, recovered 24 firearms, 200 rounds of live ammunition and 50 stolen cattle. Key operations included the arrest of an arms trafficker in Kagarko LGA with 20 locally-made guns and the capture of suspected kidnappers in Makarfi LGA. Officers also detained informants in Kachia, Giwa and Kauru LGAs who supplied information and drugs to criminal elements. Further successes saw the interception of ammunition hidden in a sack of guinea corn, the bust of a notorious gang in Rigasa, arrests of cattle rustlers in Kufena and the dismantling of a motorcycle theft ring in Lere LGA. The command credited intelligence-led policing, community cooperation and the support of the Inspector-General of Police for these achievements. Residents are urged to continue providing credible information to security agencies to help build a safer Kaduna State.
