Kwankwaso Urges ADC Supporters to Quit Ahead of Defection to NDC

Kwankwaso Urges ADC Supporters to Quit Ahead of Defection to NDC

Rabiu Kwankwaso has directed his supporters to resign from the African Democratic Congress ahead of his planned move to the New Democratic Congress next week. The former NNPP leader joined the ADC only weeks ago and will pair with Peter Obi on the NDC presidential ticket. All lawmakers who defected from the NNPP to the ADC are also expected to leave and join the NDC. Coalition leaders made last-minute efforts to halt these defections, but insiders say Kwankwaso’s bloc met with NDC officials last night to finalise the transition.

That's a fair question. His swift departure from ADC definitely raises questions about his strategic motives.

It's striking how Kwankwaso jumped from NNPP to ADC to NDC within weeks, leaving supporters in limbo.
