Businesswoman Challenges Churches to ‘Fix the Men’ for Stronger Marriages
A businesswoman argues that many failing marriages result from society and churches focusing on raising women while neglecting men. She responded to a leading pastor’s advice that men should only marry women who can cook, insisting the emphasis must shift to preparing men. She points out that girls are trained as future wives from home, community and church, but boys often grow up without lessons on ethics or marital responsibility. In a small survey, 18 of 20 women could cook, while only 4 of 20 men had that skill. Warning that untrained, entitled men fuel rising divorce rates and crime, she urges religious centers to start teaching young men about respect, responsibility and marriage. Stronger families and communities depend on it.
