Osimhen’s Absence Hits Galatasaray and Super Lig, Says Turkish Analyst

Osimhen’s Absence Hits Galatasaray and Super Lig, Says Turkish Analyst — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Turkish pundit Mustafa Denizli warns that Victor Osimhen’s injury is a major setback for both Galatasaray and the entire Super Lig. Osimhen is recovering from surgery after the knee injury he suffered during the Champions League match at Anfield last month. Since he went down, the defending champions have picked up only four points from their last three league games. Denizli emphasised that Osimhen’s influence extends beyond his goals. He noted that the forward raises the level of everyone around him on the pitch. Galatasaray’s medical staff are racing to have Osimhen ready for the title-deciding derby against Fenerbahce on April 26. The Lions remain top but now lead by just two points.

I'm not convinced losing Osimhen spells disaster. Galatasaray still have solid players and coaches to adjust tactics.

Losing Osimhen definitely shifts dynamics, but Super Lig already has other top forwards who can step up.

Do we really know if Osimhen's recovery will take that long, or are analysts just exaggerating the impact?

With Osimhen sidelined, Galatasaray must rotate strikers and rely on youth prospects to stay competitive—e no go easy.
