Serving God With Gladness: The Call to Joyful Obedience

Joyful obedience means serving God willingly, gratefully and with trust. It is not merely outward compliance or doing what is convenient. A heart that loves God sees His instructions as a path to spiritual growth, lasting joy and a closer walk with Him. Psalm 100:2 calls believers to serve the Lord with gladness. Through Christ, believers have both the desire and strength to obey God wholeheartedly. True obedience is an expression of love, not a burden. Reflect today: Do I obey God with gladness, or only when it suits me? Ask God to remove reluctance, complaints and selfishness, and to give you a willing heart that delights in His will.

A practical starting point may be daily gratitude and reflecting on why an instruction matters, rather than treating faith as a checklist.
