Lagos First Responders Hailed as ‘Silent Heroes’ at Inaugural Health Conference

Lagos First Responders Hailed as ‘Silent Heroes’ at Inaugural Health Conference

The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, praised the state’s first responders as “silent heroes” for their swift emergency actions and humanitarian service. She called for stronger support, training, and welfare improvements to equip them physically, mentally, and emotionally. Held by the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, the two-day Lagos State Health Professionals Development Conference carried the theme “Excellence, Resilience and Readiness.” Speakers, including the Commissioner for Health and the Medical Director of the First Responders Medical Clinics, highlighted the need for robust systems, clear protocols, and inter-agency cooperation to strengthen emergency response across Lagos.
