PFN Denies RCCG, Pastor Adeboye Link to National Prayer Drive
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) says the recent three-day national fasting and prayer initiative was its own programme, not an RCCG or Pastor E.A. Adeboye project. PFN’s National Secretary, Bishop David Bakare, explained that the National Executive Council conceived, approved, coordinated, and executed the event. He stressed that RCCG and other churches simply complied as members of the Pentecostal community. Bishop Bakare noted that PFN suspended proposed public processions due to security concerns and held state-level gatherings on Pentecost Sunday instead. He condemned false claims linking the programme to RCCG and urged the public to verify facts before sharing allegations. Reaffirming its commitment to national prayer and advocacy, PFN under Bishop Francis Wale Oke says it will continue praying for Nigeria, promoting peace, and calling on authorities to address socio-economic challenges.
