Air Canada Jet Collides with Vehicle on LaGuardia Runway, Airport Shuts Down

An Air Canada flight struck a Port Authority vehicle after landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport late on March 23. Firefighters arrived at the runway at 11:38 p.m. and reported significant damage to the aircraft’s nose. The Federal Aviation Administration has closed the airport pending a full investigation. Authorities have not yet confirmed any casualties.
