Nwankwo Urges UNIZIK Engineers to Power Agripreneurship and Local Oil & Gas Innovation
At the UNIZIK Faculty of Engineering Lecture Series, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo challenged engineers to turn theory into practice. He highlighted agripreneurship and oil & gas value innovation as vital to Nigeria’s economic growth. He called for reduced reliance on imports by boosting local manufacturing. He urged students and professionals to design machines and systems that cut post-harvest losses and add value in agriculture. Nwankwo praised UNIZIK’s focus on technical education. He asked universities to tailor engineering curricula to industry needs and address infrastructure gaps and unemployment. He pledged support for research funding, enterprise incubation centres, and stronger collaboration between policymakers, industry and academia.
