He also assented to the Administration of Criminal Justice (Second Amendment) Law, 2026, aligning the state’s justice system with global best practices by introducing restorative justice principles. The amendments aim to make justice more humane by focusing on healing and community restoration. Both the Governor and the Assembly Speaker praised the collaboration between the executive and legislature. They said strong local councils and a fair justice system are crucial for inclusive growth and effective governance in Ekiti State.
