Superstar LeBron James has informed the Los Angeles Lakers he will continue his NBA career elsewhere, bringing his eight-season second stint in Los Angeles to an end. The 41-year-old icon led the franchise to the 2020 NBA title and averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds over 68 games in his record-setting 23rd season. He is a four-time MVP, four-time champion and the league’s all-time leading scorer with 43,440 points. According to reports via ESPN, LeBron has no plans to retire and will seek a new team for 2026–27. The Golden State Warriors and a possible reunion with the Cleveland Cavaliers are among the leading contenders. His next destination is set to be one of the biggest storylines of the NBA offseason.
