Super Eagles Keeper Stanley Nwabali Rejoins Chippa United
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has rejoined Chippa United in South Africa ahead of the 2026/27 Premier Soccer League season. His surprise exit earlier this year followed standout displays at AFCON 2025, where he helped Nigeria secure bronze. Coach Brandon Truter has welcomed him back as preparations get underway. In his absence, Dumisani Msibi kept five clean sheets, captained the side and helped stave off relegation. Chippa have since shelved plans to sign Brian Bwire and Bongani Sam. Nwabali spent months without a club, missing the 2026 Unity Cup and friendlies against Poland and Portugal. He began his career with Go Round in 2018 before moving on to Enyimba, Lobi Stars and Chippa United in 2022.
