2026 Guide to BYU-Idaho Undergraduate Scholarships

2026 Guide to BYU-Idaho Undergraduate Scholarships

Brigham Young University-Idaho awards four main scholarship types to incoming freshmen, transfer students and continuing undergraduates. These funds—ranging from partial tuition waivers to need-based grants and missionary awards—can significantly reduce the cost of a degree in majors like nursing, accounting or computer science. Applicants must be fully admitted, maintain the required GPA and enroll in at least 12 credit hours each semester. An active ecclesiastical endorsement is also necessary. The scholarship portal opens once admission is confirmed, and all supporting documents (transcripts, test scores and tax forms) must be uploaded before the July 1, 2026 deadline. To apply, submit your university application, complete the FAFSA, then log in to the BYU-Idaho scholarship system. Fill out the profile questions, upload required documents and track deadlines carefully. Early submission and strong academic records improve your chances of securing renewable awards for up to four years.

Absolutely, the missionary award tends to pack a bigger punch than that tuition waiver, no doubt.

Dem get need-based grants too, but I no sure if those grants go cover enough for most families.

It's possible these scholarship ranges aren't as generous as they sound once you factor in room and board.

If you qualify for both need-based grants and tuition waivers, prioritize the award with the highest dollar value first.
