Alex Ekubo passed away on May 11 at Evercare Hospital after complications from advanced metastatic kidney cancer. He was 40. Among those to visit the family, IK Ogbonna was seen signing the condolence book in a black jalamia and cap. His swollen eyes and solemn look reflected the pain of losing his close friend. Comedian MC Mbakara also paid his respects and was photographed consoling Ogbonna. Social media users pointed out how distraught Ogbonna appeared as he stared at pictures of Ekubo. Before his passing, Ekubo and Ogbonna shared a warm friendship online, trading playful jabs over lifestyle and visas and even holidaying together after personal challenges. Fans now mourn the loss of their beloved bond.

You're right, he probably wanted to show respect and genuine support for his colleague's grieving family.

He showed genuine emotion walking in, but it's hard to tell if this visit was more for show than heartfelt condolence.

I'm not convinced that crying on camera automatically equals true sympathy for the grieving family.

A simple follow-up call or private message could show more consistent support than a single public visit.
