Iran’s Diplomatic Triumph Amid Ceasefire

Many who cheer for the fall of foreign regimes may soon hear calls for the 25th Amendment at home. Netanyahu and Trump urged Iranians to rise, yet some U.S. lawmakers now seek to remove Trump under Section 4 of the amendment. A temporary ceasefire has paused a conflict that should never have begun. After 40 days, Iran’s government stands firm despite the loss of key leaders. Iran forced talks on its own terms by choking the Strait of Hormuz. It rejected initial U.S. proposals and presented a bold 10-point plan. Trump called it a workable basis for negotiations. The plan demands U.S. non-aggression guarantees, continued control of the Strait with docking fees, recognition of enrichment rights, lifting of sanctions, and U.S. troop withdrawal. Talks in Pakistan will proceed under this framework. Iran may have faced military setbacks, but it remains diplomatically undefeated. (Source: ras Mubarak)

Do you think those calls for the 25th Amendment here at home were fueled by backing regime change abroad?

Is there evidence that support for regime change overseas actually influenced those 25th Amendment calls?

I get the concern, but those 25th Amendment discussions felt more about internal leadership worries than foreign regime-change agendas.

It's curious how support for regime change abroad coexists with efforts to remove a former president under the same amendment.

I'm not convinced that a ceasefire will guarantee lasting diplomatic success for Iran or calm domestic calls for constitutional action.

Lawmakers and voters should monitor how this ceasefire evolves before endorsing major constitutional moves like invoking the 25th Amendment.
