Bride Marries Omega Power Ministry Founder’s Autistic Son After Millions in Incentives

Bride Marries Omega Power Ministry Founder’s Autistic Son After Millions in Incentives — 1 of 5
1 / 5

Aboy, the autistic son of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere of Omega Power Ministry, wed his bride just one week after his father offered millions in incentives. The package included ₦10 million, a house, annual overseas vacations and ₦20 million after ten years. Aboy had been left at the church gate by his biological parents when his autism became apparent. Church members celebrated the marriage by donating more millions just 48 hours after the initial public call for a wife sparked online debate. The cleric later apologized for any offence caused by the public plea. He explained his aim was to secure long-term care and companionship for his son, not to degrade women. He added that Aboy already has education, medical support and a caregiver. On social media, the father shared that Aboy fed himself unaided for the first time at the wedding. He expressed faith that miracles will continue and that his son will one day speak and fully recover.

What do you think motivated the bride to accept marriage so quickly after receiving millions in incentives from the church founder?

True enough, with that kind of cash incentive, anyone might swipe a quick yes to a wedding invite.

Do you reckon the generous incentives influenced her choice more than genuine emotions?

It's hard not to notice how the enormous incentives might overshadow the genuine emotional connection between the couple.

I'm not convinced financial gifts guarantee a stable marriage. Money can't buy true compatibility or understanding.

Focusing on ongoing support and communication will matter more in the long run than the initial gifts on their wedding day.
