Britain Renamed Our Queens to Hide Stolen African Artifacts
Our African kingdoms suffered bombings and looting under British rule. Many treasures were shipped abroad, and today we still demand their return. In 1892 the British removed the regalia of Queen Mma Aha, Queen Mother of Ezza from Ebonyi State. They labeled her as an “Egyptian Treasurer” to conceal her true identity. In 1897 they attacked the Benin Kingdom and seized the crowns of the King and Queen. Our ancestors’ names and stories have been buried ever since. We call on the British Government to explain these actions. This is not just one tribe’s struggle but a collective demand from all Nigerians and Africans. We seek peace, justice, and the restoration of our history.
