All Israel Will Be Saved: Exploring Romans 11:25–32
In Romans 11:25–32, Paul reveals a profound mystery. He warns believers not to be conceited as Israel experiences partial hardening until the full number of Gentiles comes in. He quotes the promise: “The deliverer will come from Zion and remove godlessness from Jacob.” This covenant takes away their sins. Though Israel may seem like enemies of the gospel, they remain loved because of the patriarchs, and God’s gifts and call are irrevocable. Paul explains that our obedience follows their disobedience, and in turn, their future mercy follows our mercy. God has bound everyone in disobedience so that His mercy may extend to all. This passage highlights God’s patient plan: from hardening to salvation, culminating in mercy for every heart.
