Brown Ideye Explains Why He Chose West Brom Over West Ham

Former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye says he opted for West Brom because their offer was ready to go when others stalled. In a recent chat on The Playzone podcast, Ideye revealed he had four clubs interested, including Alavés and West Ham. He added that while West Ham sent a contract to his agent, it never received the green light, unlike West Brom’s firm deal. The Baggies signed Ideye from Dynamo Kiev for a club-record fee of around £10 million in the summer of 2014, a move he now says was the clear choice.
