Governor Abiodun Challenges Graduates to Drive Solutions, Honoured for Good Governance

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun urged Babcock University graduates to use their skills and knowledge to address Nigeria’s challenges. He emphasised that education should produce solution-makers, not just degree holders. During the postgraduate convocation at Ilisan-Remo, he received the university’s Award of Good Governance. He also announced cash prizes for top students, ranging from ₦1.5 million for the best PGD graduate to ₦2.5 million for the standout PhD and undergraduate students. The governor highlighted reforms under the Ogun REHAB Initiative and the OgunTeach Programme, which have renovated public schools and recruited over 6,000 teachers. He stressed that combining innovation with integrity is key to building a knowledge-based economy. He congratulated the graduands and urged them to embrace ethical leadership as they shape Nigeria’s future. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to education as the cornerstone of sustainable development.
