Flamingos Eye Decisive U-17 WWCQ Final Qualifier Against Benin Republic

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team turned heads with an 11-0 aggregate win over Guinea to book their place in the final qualifying round. Coach Akeem Busari’s side opened with a 5-0 victory and sealed the tie with a 6-0 rout at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. Oluwakemi Adegbuyi grabbed a brace, while captain Chidi Harmony added two goals. Queen Joseph and Precious Oscar also found the net. Waiting in the final round are hosts Benin Republic, who edged Sierra Leone 5-1 on aggregate. The first legs kick off in late July, with return fixtures in early August. The four winners will represent Africa at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
