FirstBank Launches Samuel Okwaraji U-16 Championship to Boost School Sports and Education
FirstBank proudly announces its sponsorship of the inaugural Samuel Okwaraji U-16 Football Championship. The nationwide tournament will bring together secondary school teams from all 36 states and the FCT. Zonal eliminations will be held across six geopolitical zones before the top 12 teams meet in Abuja for the grand finale. Beyond football action, the event will feature cultural showcases, memorial lectures honoring Samuel Okwaraji’s legacy, and scouting sessions led by national team coaches. This blend of sport and learning aims to inspire discipline, teamwork, and academic excellence among Nigeria’s youth.
