Wike Labels Atiku “Habitual Poll Loser” as Abuja Road Projects Near Completion

Wike Labels Atiku “Habitual Poll Loser” as Abuja Road Projects Near Completion — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Minister of the FCT Nyesom Wike has dismissed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s criticisms as unfounded. He described Atiku as a habitual presidential contender who never wins and argued that Nigerians won’t take his attacks on the administration seriously. Wike challenged Atiku to compare the condition of Abuja during his tenure with today’s state of the capital. He highlighted the ongoing and completed infrastructure works, insisting that governance must focus on delivery rather than political rhetoric. He provided updates on key road projects, saying the Airport–Kuje road bridge will open in days and the first phase of the Kuje–Gwagwalada dualisation will finish by the end of May. Wike also denied allegations of meddling in the ADC convention and reaffirmed that over 80% of FCT projects will be delivered before January.

It's interesting that Wike dismisses Atiku's criticism outright while expecting praise for the Abuja road developments near completion.

Dismissing Atiku as a habitual loser overlooks legitimate questions about how those road projects are funded and managed.

Citizens need to track project timelines, check community impact reports, and demand clear updates even when politicians dey swap barbs.
