Donald Duke Accuses Atiku Abubakar of Weakening Nigeria’s Opposition

Donald Duke Accuses Atiku Abubakar of Weakening Nigeria’s Opposition

Donald Duke claims Atiku Abubakar has undermined major opposition parties in Nigeria. He says Atiku helped erode the PDP in 2015 and 2019 before Nyesom Wike forced him out. Duke argues that Atiku’s latest ambition has all but destroyed the ADC, reducing it to a regional northern party like the CPC and APGA. He even jokes about giving Atiku an award as “the destroyer of Nigeria’s opposition” since 2015.

It's interesting that Duke focuses on Atiku eroding PDP twice before Wike's exit, but offers little evidence for the ADC claims.

I'm not convinced Atiku alone could dismantle major parties; internal divisions have been weakening them for years.

Voters should review each party's track record since 2015 to see whether personality clashes or policy failures caused this fragmentation.
