Nnobi Gears Up for Ichie Obama’s 70th Thanksgiving and COOU VC Celebration
Preparations are underway in Nnobi for a thanksgiving Mass and reception to mark the 70th birthday of Noble Dr Michael Cosmas Omenugha. The service on July 19 at St Paul’s Catholic Church will also honour Prof Kate Azuka Omenugha’s substantive appointment as Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. A reception follows at Community Central Primary School, Umuru. Activities began with the “Ichie Obama @70 Football Tournament,” featuring teams from the Nigeria Medical Association and Faithspiration Initiative. Community leaders, youth groups and political representatives joined the opener to celebrate leadership, unity and youth talent. Recognised for philanthropy and mentorship, Ichie Obama’s platinum jubilee and Prof Omenugha’s academic elevation promise a vibrant week of faith, family and community development.
